The Don’t Text and Drive Scholarship deadline is September 30th.  The award is $1,000 and the requirements to apply are:

-You are a U.S. Citizen
-A high school student (freshman, sophomore, junior or senior)
-Write a 140 character statement on texting and driving

The Make Your Mark bookmark contest sponsored by My529 (educational savings plan) is due on October 1st.  The award is $1,000 and the requirements are:

-Must create a bookmark
-Students in Kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible

If you are interested in re-taking the ACT on October 28th, the registration deadline is Friday the 28th of September.  If you register after that date, there will be a late fee on top of the registration fee. You will need to register on the website.  *Seniors, this is the last opportunity you will have to take the ACT before the December college application deadlines.*

The RMACAC College Fair is being held tomorrow the 25th of September at the U of U from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.  This is a great one to go to since there will be in state and out of state colleges attending the event. 130 colleges from across the country are registered to attend.

And last but not least, USU will be visiting Tooele High during both lunches on Wednesday.  If USU is possible on your radar, stay at school for lunch and meet with their advisors.  They usually bring fun swag with them too!
