Seniors, the time is here to apply for some of the local scholarships! Here is a list of the scholarships that are currently available. This link for them is also listed on the main scholarship page under “Tooele County Scholarships.”Or the Tooele Education Foundation website.

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: TOOELE VALLEY ROTARY CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
Application: Rotary Club Service Above Self Scholarship Application
Deadline: February 21, 2020
Criteria:
-Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
-Application, essay, list of community service projects, leadership opportunities and one letter of recommendation.
Award: $500

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: MAYOR DEBBIE WINN LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP
Application: Mayor Debbie Winn Leadership Scholarship Application
Deadline:  February 21, 2020
Criteria:
-Tooele high school senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-Application, essay on service experiences and why you believe strongly in service
-Letter of recommendation
-List of community service projects
-List of leadership opportunities
Award:  $1,500 (or 3 scholarships at $500 each)

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: DESCENDANTS OF MILITARY VETERANS (Seniors)
Application: Disabled American Veterans Scholarship
Deadline: February 21, 2020
Criteria:
-Must be a child or a grandchild of a American Military Veterans
-Cumulative 2.5 or higher
-Application, essay and one letter of recommendation
-Must be a senior or junior graduating early from a Tooele County School District High School
-List of leadership
-List of community service
–Award: $500

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: “STEP IT UP” SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application: Step It Up Scholarship Application
Deadline: March 20, 2020
Criteria:
-Students who wish to pursue an education in Health Sciences
-Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
-Application, essay, one letter of recommendation.
Award: $1,000

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: BARRICK MERCUR SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application: Barrick Scholarship Application
Deadline:  March 20, 2020
Criteria:
-Must be a 2020 graduate of Blue Peak THS, SHS, or GHS.
-GPA of 2.5 or higher
-List of service, leadership, and extra-curricular activities and experiences you have participated in at school and in the community, particularly as they relate to your chosen academic/career goals.
-Write and submit and essay following the prompt provided. Not to exceed 800 words
-Letter of recommendation
– Scholarship must be used within the academic year following high school graduation. Scholarship recipients may submit a request for a deferral.

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: DALTON DONATE 4 LIFE NURSING/MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application: Dalton Donate For Life Scholarship Application
Deadline:  March 30, 2020
Criteria:
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-Intend to pursue a career in nursing/medicine.
-Complete all application form information:  certified high school transcript, essay on why you want to pursue a career in nursing/medicine, a list of nursing/medical related classes you have taken or other nursing/medical related experience you have received, a letter of recommendation.
-Be willing to maintain contact with the Foundation, provide follow-up information and provide a written report on the use of the scholarship funds and progress you have made in advancing your education.
Award:  $500 (3 awards minimum)
