-Current and future students at SUU.
-Demonstrate academic talent and financial need in the fields of Biology/Zoology/Botany, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, and Mathematics.
-Preference given to first-generation college graduates (neither parents nor grandparents having earned a baccalaureate degree), minority students, and other students with demonstrable financial need.
Award:  $100,000 shared between 15 students

THE AMERICAN LEGION:  EAGLE SCOUT OF THE YEAR (ages 15-18)

Criteria:

-Must be a registered, active member of a Boy Scout Troop, Varsity Scout Team, or Venturing Crew chartered to an American Legion post, American Legion Auxiliary unit or Sons of The American

-Must be a registered, active member of a chartered Boy Scout Troop, Varsity Scout Team, or Venturing Crew, and the son or grandson of a Legionnaire or Auxiliary member.
AND
-Received the Eagle Scout Award.
-Be an active member of his religious institution and must have received the appropriate Boy Scout religious emblem.
-Have demonstrated practical citizenship in church, school,Scouting, and community.
-Have reached his 15th birthday and be enrolled in high school at the time of selection.
– Reside in the department (state) to which he applies
Note: Eagle Scouts still in high school who reached their 18th birthday during the nomination year remain eligible if otherwise qualified.

-Dependent of Walmart or Sam’s Club associates (must have been employed for at least 6 consecutive months as of April 2, 2019.

-Senior graduating from Tooele, Stansbury or Grantsville
-Submit your SAE plan
-Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

-Applicant has been in a music program all four years of high school.
-Applicant performs in Tooele High School music program contests each year.
-Applicant has received awards for musical accomplishments that are not related to an ancillary role such as flag carrier.
-Applicant is actively involved in their community, school, or volunteers on a regular basis.
-Applicant is faithful in participation, support and effort in a music program.
-Applicant provides voluntary help beyond the required classroom/performance time.
-Applicant mentors other music students.
-Applicant is a positive role model.
-Applicant shows continuing improvement each year while in a music program.
-Applicant is not necessarily a top musician, but has the potential to become an accomplished musician.
