AMERICAN FIRE SPRINKLER ESSAY (Seniors)

Criteria:
-Must be a U.S. citizen
-Applicants are put into a random drawing
Award:  $2,000 (10 nationally)

 REGENTS’ SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)

Deadline:  Dec. 7, 2018 (Priority Deadline), February 1, 2019 (Regular Deadline)
Criteria:
-Take the required classes in grades 9-12
-Four credits of English
-Four credits of Math (at least one must be selected from the advanced course list)
-Three credits of Social Science
-Three credits of lab-based Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
-Two credits of the same World Language
-Earn at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA
-Earn at least a 22 on the ACT
-Apply for the FAFSA
-Meet college enrollment or deferment requirements
Award: Every student who meets the requirements for the scholarship can receive a one-time award. Award amounts will be determined annually based on available funding. Students can earn a supplemental award if they have contributed to a my529 program in years 14, 15, and 16.  If students show financial need, they may also receive a supplemental award.

SUU OFF-CAMPUS HOUSING SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors planning to attend SUU in 2019-2020)

Criteria:
-Students must be enrolled full-time.
-GPA of 3.0 or greater.

Award:  Up to 75% of housing costs for 1 year (must reapply each year).

ELKS SCHOLARSHIP FOR TECH/VOCATIONAL SCHOOL (Seniors)

Deadline:   February 1, 2019 (Submitted to Mrs. Dangerfield)
Criteria:
-High school senior planning to attend a vocational or technical school.
Award:  Varies (number of awards vary as well).

ELKS SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)

  Available from Mrs. Dangerfield
Deadline:  February 1, 2019 (Submitted to Mrs. Dangerfield)
Criteria:
-High School Senior with Special Needs, i.e. learning disability or health problems.
-Application must include a supporting letter from a doctor/professional person stating the nature of the Special Needs Condition.
Award:  Varies (number of awards varies as well).

CTE SCHOLARSHIPS AND TUITION AWARDS (Seniors)

Criteria:
-Graduating high school senior.
-Planning to attend a postsecondary institution in a CTE program that is a two-year Associate Degree program or less or planning to teach in a CTE area (a four-year program).
-Must be a CTE student.
-Must have a valid Career and Technical Education occupational goal.
-Make sure the CTE program he/she wants to take is actually offered and the institution he/she wants to attend.
-Immediate employment after completing the training is a requirement for all potential award recipients.
-Must be lawfully present in the U.S.
-Must be a Utah resident.
-Student may accept other private scholarships, but cannot accept this and another scholarship from the same college or university.
-Several colleges and universities also require a 3.0 cumulative GPA .

UNIVERSITY OF UTAH SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES (Seniors)

FFA SCHOLARSHIPS

Criteria:
-Be a current FFA member unless otherwise stated (some do not require this)
-Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
-Plan to attend a post-secondary high school
-Be a high school senior

-High school girls who have just completed their junior year of high school.

-Girls selected based on scholastic, leadership, service accomplishments, interview skills, and the potential to learn and grow from this experience.

WOMEN’S ITALIAN AMERICAN CIVIC LEAGUE (Seniors)

Criteria:
-Must be of Italian ancestry and a 2019 graduate of a Utah school
-Official transcripts with a copy of ACT or SAT scores
-Outline of extracurricular activities
-Summary of future educational goals and why you are the best candidate for this scholarship.
-A personal essay (max 300 words) describing:
a. The applicants Italian ancestry
b. How this ancestry has influenced your life

HISPANIC COLLEGE FUND (Seniors)

-Must be of Hispanic heritage
-Minimum 3.0

AFA TEENS FOR ALZHEIMER’S AWARENESS SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)

Criteria:
-High school senior planning to attend 4 year accredited college or university.
-Write an autobiography:  1,200-1,500 word essay about Alzheimer’s effect on you and your family, and a brief 200-word biography.

Criteria:
-Seniors pursuing a degree in education, seeking a Utah Educator License.
-Must teach at Utah schools for amount of time equal to the period of time award was received.
-Selection criteria includes:  high school GPA, ACT or SAT scores, intended teaching field, teaching-related experience, and an explanatory essay.
-A student must complete one year of university/college before an interruption (mission, etc.) can be approved.
Award:  Full tuition and fees at public Utah institutions
