Upcoming Scholarship Deadlines

Seniors, these scholarships are due over the next couple of weeks.  Don’t lose out on this money for college!  Also, if you are applying for Regents’ and have not submitted your high school or college transcripts (if applicable) please visit the Counseling Office to get your high school transcript today.

UTAH OFFICE OF EDUCATIONAL OFFICE PROFESSIONALS SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application: UAEOP Judy Anderson Student Scholarship
Deadline: January 31, 2019
Criteria:
-Student must intend to continue his/her education in an office-related business program.
-Utah senior in high school.
-Must have completed two or more year-long business education courses such as: computer classes, keyboarding/typing, marketing, business communication, accounting, office practices and procedures, bookkeeping, desktop publishing and/or business law.
Award: $500

REGENTS’ SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)

Deadline:  Dec. 7, 2018 (Priority Deadline), February 1, 2019 (Regular Deadline)
Criteria:
-Take the required classes in grades 9-12
-Four credits of English
-Four credits of Math (at least one must be selected from the advanced course list)
-Three credits of Social Science
-Three credits of lab-based Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
-Two credits of the same World Language
-Earn at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA
-Earn at least a 22 on the ACT
-Apply for the FAFSA
-Meet college enrollment or deferment requirements
Award: Every student who meets the requirements for the scholarship can receive a one-time award. Award amounts will be determined annually based on available funding. Students can earn a supplemental award if they have contributed to a my529 program in years 14, 15, and 16.  If students show financial need, they may also receive a supplemental award.

SUU OFF-CAMPUS HOUSING SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors planning to attend SUU in 2019-2020)

Deadline:  February 1, 2019
Criteria:
-Students must be enrolled full-time.
-GPA of 3.0 or greater.

Award:  Up to 75% of housing costs for 1 year (must reapply each year).

ELKS SCHOLARSHIP FOR TECH/VOCATIONAL SCHOOL (Seniors)
Application:  Available from Mrs. Dangerfield
Deadline:   February 1, 2019 (Submitted to Mrs. Dangerfield)
Criteria:
-High school senior planning to attend a vocational or technical school.
Award:  Varies (number of awards vary as well).

ELKS SPECIAL NEEDS STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application:
  Available from Mrs. Dangerfield
Deadline:  February 1, 2019 (Submitted to Mrs. Dangerfield)
Criteria:
-High School Senior with Special Needs, i.e. learning disability or health problems.
-Application must include a supporting letter from a doctor/professional person stating the nature of the Special Needs Condition.
Award:  Varies (number of awards varies as well).

CTE SCHOLARSHIPS AND TUITION AWARDS (Seniors)

Deadline:  February 1, 2019
Criteria:
-Graduating high school senior.
-Planning to attend a postsecondary institution in a CTE program that is a two-year Associate Degree program or less or planning to teach in a CTE area (a four-year program).
-Must be a CTE student.
-Must have a valid Career and Technical Education occupational goal.
-Make sure the CTE program he/she wants to take is actually offered and the institution he/she wants to attend.
-Immediate employment after completing the training is a requirement for all potential award recipients.
-Must be lawfully present in the U.S.
-Must be a Utah resident.
-Student may accept other private scholarships, but cannot accept this and another scholarship from the same college or university.
-Several colleges and universities also require a 3.0 cumulative GPA .

Utah CTE Scholarship

Utah high school seniors, the Utah State Board of Education has a scholarship for students that are going into a CTE focused career.  There are many scholarships available, but only for Utah colleges and the award amounts vary.

Here are some of the CTE Career Clusters that may make you eligible for the scholarship.

• Arts, Audio/Visual Technology & Communications;
• Business Management & Administration;
• Education & Training;
• Engineering & Technology;
