Scholarship Opportunity for Homeless Youth

NAEHCY Scholarship Information

Vision

Ensure homeless children and youth have access to the tools necessary to pursue and complete post-secondary education.

Mission

Encourage and invest in scholarship recipients while establishing an affirmative support network in order to prevent future homelessness and promote academic success.

Program Goals

  • Promote and provide financial support for post-secondary education;
  • Assure that youth have the information necessary to make sound financial decisions;
  • Lead a collaborative network of community and educational partners aligned to support student preparation, transition, and progression towards degree completion;
  • Develop a scholar association to provide mentoring and support to scholars throughout their college career; as well as transitioning into the workforce.

NAEHCY awarded a minimum of five (5) $1,000 scholarships for the 2021-2022 academic year. The unrestricted funds were awarded once proof of post-secondary education was been provided.

Please Remember to Get Your Year-End Transcript Sent for Opportunity Scholarship (Regents’)

Seniors,

Don’t forget that you need to send your year-end transcript so that you finish the last step in being able to receive the Opportunity Scholarship. If you finished any classes that were concurrent enrollment (and you used them to qualify for the scholarship) you will need to have those sent from the colleges as well.

Please send Mrs. Bishop an email with your information so that she can send your transcript from the high school.
