Here is a list of all the local scholarships that are coming due soon. The THS Alumni scholarship is due April 15th but I haven’t had anyone apply yet! If you need help please see Ms. Dangerfield.

MEN’S and WOMEN’S ITALIAN AMERICAN CIVIC LEAGUE (Seniors)
Application: Apply for the Men’s Italian American Civic League Scholarship
Deadline:  March 31, 2022
Criteria:
-Outstanding graduating high school senior of Italian ancestry (at least one of the student’s parents must be of Italian ancestry).
-Application, essay.
Award:  $1,000 (1 award)

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS JORDAN M. BYRD SCHOLARSHIP
Application: Disabled American Veterans Jordan M. Byrd Application
Deadline: March 31, 2022
Criteria:
-The applicant must be a child or grandchild of an American Military Veteran
-Must be a senior, or junior graduating early, from Blue Peak High School, Dugway High School, Grantsville High School, Stansbury High School, or Tooele High School
-Must write an essay, not to exceed 800 words
Award: $500

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: STUDENTS IN ACTION AMERICAN WARRIORS SCHOLARSHIP
Application: Students in Action Scholarship Application
Deadline: March 31, 2022
Criteria:
-Complete and submit the application form.
-Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher during high school (certified transcript required).
-Essay- not to exceed 800 words
-List of community service projects in which you have been involved.
-List of leadership opportunities that have helped you grow.
Award: $1,000 (four awards)

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: “STEP IT UP” SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application: Step It Up Scholarship Application
Deadline: March 31, 2022
Criteria:
-Complete the application form
-Essay – Write an essay using the prompt provided (not to exceed 1000 words).
-Upload a certified transcript.
Award: $1,000 (3 awards)

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: BARRICK MERCUR SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application: Barrick Scholarship Application
Deadline:  March 31, 2022
Criteria:
-Complete and submit the application form.
-Seniors graduating from all TCSD high schools may apply.
-List of service, leadership, and extra-curricular activities and experiences you have participated in at school and in the community, particularly as they relate to your chosen academic/career goals.
-Write and submit an essay following the prompt provided. Not to exceed 800 words.
-GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Award:  $500-$1,000 (multiple awards)

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: DALTON DONATE 4 LIFE NURSING/MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)

Criteria:
-Complete and submit the application
-Must be a senior, or a junior graduating early, from a Tooele County School District high school. Students graduating from adult education are also eligible to apply.
-Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout high school (certified transcript required)
-Essay, not to exceed 800 words. The essay should include information about yourself, your understanding and knowledge about organ donation, and why you are planning a career in a nursing/medical field.
-Leadership and community service
-List of medical-related classes and/or experience
Award:  $500 (6 awards)

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION:  JORDAN M. BYRD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application: Jordan Byrd Scholarship Application
Deadline:  March 31, 2022
Criteria:
-GPA of 2.5 or higher during the graduating year.
-Intend to pursue a career in the medical field.
-Complete the application form, including one essay, a certified high school transcript
-Willing to maintain contact with the Foundation to provide follow-up information and report on the use of the scholarship funds and progress you have made in advancing your education.
Award:  $500

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION:  JORDAN M. BYRD SILVER STAR SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application:  Jordan Byrd Silver Star Scholarship Application
Deadline:  March 31, 2022
Criteria:
-GPA of 3.5 or higher during the graduating year.
-Intend to pursue a career in the medical field.
-Complete the application form, including two essays, a certified high school transcript, list of medical work-related experience or classes.
-Willing to maintain contact with the Foundation to provide follow-up information and report on the use of the scholarship funds and progress you have made in advancing your education.
Award:  $1,500

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: TOOELE COUNTY FFA SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)
Application: FFA Scholarship Application
Deadline:  March 31, 2022
Criteria:
-Seniors, or juniors graduating early, from Grantsville, Stansbury, or Tooele High school
-Essay
-Quality of SAE – two paged supervised agricultural experience record.
-Leadership and Community Service
-Demonstrated interest and/or aptitude as shown by success in the FFA program.
-Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
-ACT scores submitted
Award:  $500 (6 awards), $1,000 (3 awards), $1,500 (1 award)

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: TOOELE MOTOR COMPANY DRIVE TO SUCCESS SCHOLARSHIP
Application: Drive to Success Scholarship
Deadline: March 31, 2022
Criteria:
-Complete and submit the application form.
-Senior students graduating from Stansbury, Tooele, or Grantsville may apply.
-GPA of 3.0 or higher
-Essay not to exceed 800 words is required.
-It is intended for the scholarship to be used within the academic year following high school graduation. Scholarship may be deferred upon written request.
Award: $1,000 (two awards)

TOOELE EDUCATION FOUNDATION: PLAY WELL, PLAY SAFE SCHOLARSHIP
Application: Play-Well Play Safe Scholarship
Deadline: March 31, 2022
Criteria:
-High school senior
-Must have a 3.0 GPA
-Essay requirement
-Has participated in high school athletics
Award: Two 1,000 scholarships for THS

THS ALUMNI FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP (Seniors)

Criteria:
-Seniors who are graduating from THS in 2022.
-Plan to attend college.
-Have not received significant scholarships from other sources.
-This scholarship cannot be deferred.
-Application, transcript, and optional additional information.
-Return the application to Mrs. Dangerfield in the Counseling Office
Award: $1,500
